Dr Lee Boon Yang, the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, will be in the Philippines from 30 January to 1 February 2008 to attend the Singapore Encore in Manila.

2 He will be the Guest-of-Honour at Singapore Encore 2008, which is a cultural showcase and networking event. One of the highlights of the Encore is a jazz concert by the Jeremy Monteiro Jazz Quartet.

3 During the visit, Dr Lee will call on Mr Leandro Mendoza, Secretary of the Department of Transport and Communications (DOTC).

4 Singapore Encore is organised by the Singapore International Foundation and co-presented by the Singapore Embassy in the Philippines. Past Encores were held in the US, Vienna and Tokyo.
